NU Online News Service, Oct. 13, 2003, 4:20 p.m. EDT — The American Council of Life Insurers, Washington, has published “Bridging the Cultural Divide Between Banks and Life Insurers: 2003 Bank Insurance Study,” a report by authors at the ACLI and three other organizations.

The report looks at strategies for eliminating the barriers between banks and life insurance companies that hold down bank sales of life insurance.

The authors based the report on 36 completed questionnaires from banks and 40 completed questionnaires from life insurers.
