Old Mutual Names Couch Strategic Planning VP

NU Online News Service, Oct. 8, 2003, 4:54 p.m. EST – Old Mutual Financial Network, Baltimore, has promoted Bill Couch to vice president of strategic planning.

Old Mutual Financial is the U.S. arm of Old Mutual P.L.C., London.

Couch will handle planning for Old Mutual Western Hemisphere units such as Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, Americom Life and Annuity Insurance Company and OMNIA Life (Bermuda).

Old Mutual is also in the process of making Couch chief executive officer of Old Mutual Reinsurance of Ireland.

Couch has worked for Old Mutual Financial since 2002. He previously was a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P.

Couch has a master’s degree in business from Boston University, and he is a Designated Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
