NU Online News Service, Oct. 3, 2003, 12:13 p.m. EST – Colonial Supplement Insurance, Columbia, S.C., says its new Colonial College worksite benefits sales training program seems to be improving success rates for new producers.

Program graduates have been bringing in an average of twice as many new accounts as other new Colonial producers, and program graduates hit Colonial’s first sales production tier an average of 50 days earlier, Colonial says.

Colonial, a unit of UnumProvident Corp., Chattanooga, started the Colonial College program Jan. 1. The program employs 21 instructors and operates 50 training sites.
