Blues Introduce Expat Health Insurance Program

NU Online News Service, Sept. 22, 2003, 1:32 p.m. EDT – The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, Chicago, has introduced BlueWorldwide Expat, a medical coverage program for expatriate workers from U.S.-based companies that do business abroad.

Participating Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies can offer the expatriate program to companies of any size.

The program offers employers a choice of two product designs, access to the Blues’ U.S. and foreign provider network; 24-hour medical assistance and membership verification; centralized premium billing, claim adjudication and claim payment; and language translation.
