Wachovia Insurance Hires CFO

NU Online News Service, Sept. 15, 2003, 1:36 p.m. EDT – Wachovia Insurance Services, Winston-Salem, N.C., has hired Karen Lehman to be chief financial officer.

Lehman previously was CFO at Palmer & Cay Inc., Savannah, Ga. Before joining the insurance industry, she worked in public accounting for five years.

Lehman has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Akron. She holds the Certified Public Accountant and Personal Financial Planning professional designations.

Wachovia Insurance, an insurance broker with annual revenue of about $150 million, is a unit of Wachovia Corp., Charlotte, N.C.
