NU Online News Service, Sept. 4, 2003, 5:33 p.m. EDT – Swiss Re America Holding Corp., New York, has named W. Weldon Wilson to be chief executive of Swiss Re’s North American life and health operations.
Wilson previously was executive vice president and head of Swiss Re’s business engineering services unit. Before that, he was general counsel for the company’s Life & Health Business Group.
Wilson succeeds Chris C. Stroup, who stepped down to spend more time with his family. Stroup will have a part-time job helping Swiss Re with strategic planning, Swiss Re says.
Swiss Re America is a unit of Swiss Reinsurance Company, Zurich.
