NU Online News Service, Sept. 2, 2003, 1:34 p.m. EDT – Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, Greenwood Village, Colo., has renamed its defined contribution retirement services provider Great-West Retirement Services.

The unit previously was known as BenefitsCorp Inc.

Great-West also announced that it has changed the registered name of its NASD broker-dealer to GWFS Equities, from BenefitsCorp Equities Inc.

Great-West Retirement will continue to use the BenefitsCorp slogan, “The Power of Partnering,” and some units, such as FASCorp, a recordkeeper, and Advised Assets Group L.L.C., an investment advisor, will keep their old names, Great-West says.

Great-West is a unit of the Power Company of America, Montreal.
