Standard Adds Group Dental In New York State

NU Online News Service, Aug. 12, 2003, 10:12 a.m. EDT – The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York, White Plains, N.Y., is now selling group dental insurance in New York state to employers with at least 10 employees.

Standard Life, a unit of StanCorp Financial Group Inc., Portland, Ore., is best known for selling group life and group disability insurance.

Standard Life’s New York state dental products include an indemnity plan, a preferred provider plan, a voluntary Section 125 plan and a “dual option” program that will let employees choose between two levels of coverage.

The network-based plans use a network that has contracts with 4,000 dentists.
