NU Online News Service, Aug. 4, 2003, 12:04 p.m. EDT – HealthMarket Inc., Norwalk, Conn., says Arizona insurance regulators have given its insurance company subsidiary, American Travelers Assurance Company, permission to begin selling defined contribution health insurance plans in Nevada.

HealthMarket is now taking applications from small and midsize Nevada groups.

HealthMarket defined contribution plans offer high-deductible health insurance, individual health savings accounts, an annual rollover feature and Web-based information about provider prices.

HealthMarket has enrolled more than 2,500 employer groups in Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Texas, the company says.
