NU Online News Service, July 23, 2003, 12:01 p.m. EDT – John Hancock Life Insurance Company, Boston, says it will be offering a Web-based long term care insurance rate calculator to the agencies that place the most long term care business with it.
The calculator software will run on Hancock’s computers, but agents can put calculator forms on their public Web sites, Hancock says.
Hancock, a unit of John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, says the calculator will ask people for personal information, then use the information to provide customized quotes.
Hancock’s retail LTC marketing team developed the calculator with the company’s advanced sales illustration unit.
