NU Online News Service, July 1, 2003, 10:45 a.m. EDT – Employers Modern Life Company, Des Moines, Iowa, has merged with National Travelers Life Company, Des Moines, to form EMC National Life Company, Urbandale, Iowa.
The combined company has about $500 million in assets, $120 million in annual premium revenue and a network of 5,000 independent insurance agents.
National Travelers had more experience with worksite marketing, and Employers Modern had a broader selection of individual products, EMC says.
