NU Online News Service, June 24, 2003, 1:07 p.m. EDT – PlanVista Corp., Tampa, Fla., says Donald Schmeling, the chief financial officer, will be leaving around July 30 to pursue other interests.

Schmeling has worked for PlanVista for two years.

The company has hired Bennett Marks to succeed Schmeling as CFO.

Marks, who will be an executive vice president at PlanVista, has been the CFO at ProxyMed Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and other publicly traded companies. He also served as an audit partner for 10 years at KPMG L.L.P.

Marks has experience with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission matters, public securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions as well as with corporate governance, PlanVista says.

PlanVista sells data communications services, claim repricing services and other support services to health plans.
