NU Online News Service, June 17, 2003, 4:28 p.m. EDT – New worksite sales increased 15% between 2001 and 2002, to $4 billion, according to a worksite market study by Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc., Avon, Conn.

The 2002 results represent the fifth straight year of double-digit increases, Eastbridge says.

Premiums for worksite policies already in force increased 17%, to more than $10 billion, Eastbridge says.

Eastbridge defines “worksite sales” as sales of group and individual life and health products at the workplace, with premiums paid by the employees through payroll deductions.

Fifteen companies accounted for more than 70% of the total 2002 sales, Eastbridge says.
