Script IQ System Encourages Generic Drug Use

NU Online News Service, June 12, 2003, 12:25 p.m. EDT – Script IQ Inc., Seattle, is introducing an electronic system designed to help health plans encourage doctors to prescribe low-cost generic medications.

The system sends doctors customized prescription pads with available generic drugs already check-listed at the top.

The Script IQ system also includes Web-based tools to help doctors prescribe the medications covered by patients’ prescription plans.
