AXA Hires Merrill Lynch Veteran

NU Online News Service, June 11, 2003, 11:13 a.m. EDT – AXA Financial Inc., New York, has hired Robert McCann to be vice chairman and director of distribution and marketing.

McCann will be responsible for marketing at the company’s broker-dealer unit as well as marketing at its retail distribution unit, AXA Advisors, and its wholesale distribution unit, AXA Distributors.

McCann previously spent 21 years working at Merrill Lynch & Company Inc., New York. His roles at Merrill Lynch included serving as head of the company’s global institutional client division.
