NU Online News Service, June 9, 2003, 11:46 a.m. EDT – Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass., has hired William Silvanic to be vice president of annuity finance and chief actuary.
Silvanic previously was the controller of the retirement and investment division at CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia. He began working for CIGNA in 1977.
Silvanic has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Hartwick College. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Schaumburg, Ill., and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Washington.
