LTC Study To Look At Role Of Fathers

NU Online News Service, June 9, 2003, 6:12 p.m. EDT – Insurance trade groups and other organizations will participate in a press conference in Washington Wednesday to support H.R. 2096, also known as The Long-Term Care Retirement Security Act of 2003.

The bill would create an above-the-line tax deduction for long term care insurance premiums and a tax credit for people who provide informal long term care for relatives and others.

The organizers of the press conference, to be held on the steps of a congressional office building, say they will tie the event to Father’s Day by releasing a study about the role of men in long term caregiving.
