Charles de Vaulx is senior VP of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, Inc., and co-portfolio manager of the First Eagle family of funds. A native of France, he graduated from the Ecole Sup?rior de Commerce de Rouen and holds the French equivalent of a master’s degree in finance. In 1985, he joined Soci?t? G?n?rale, one of France’s major banks. After two years as a credit analyst, he became a securities analyst for the original SoGen International Fund. In 1999, the SoGen Funds were acquired by the investment banking firm of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder and subsequently named the First Eagle Global, Overseas, U.S. Value, and Gold funds.

Jean-Marie Eveillard is co-president and portfolio manager of the First Eagle Funds, the same position he held with Societe Generale Asset Management until its acquisition by Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder (ASB). He has managed the former SoGen International Fund for over two decades and the SoGen Overseas and Gold Funds since their inception in 1993. All three funds have incorporated First Eagle in their names to reflect the affiliation with Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder. Born in Poitiers, France, in 1940, Mr. Eveillard is a graduate of Ecoles des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, a major French graduate school for economic studies. He started his career with Soci?t? G?n?rale in 1962 and came to the U.S. in 1968. Mr. Eveillard began working as an analyst with the SoGen International Fund in 1970 and became portfolio manager in 1979.
