Anthem Names Chief Strategy Officer

NU Online News Service, May 30, 2003, 11:35 a.m. EDT – Anthem Inc., Indianapolis, has promoted Mark Boxer to senior vice president and chief strategy and business development officer.

Boxer will be responsible for the company’s overall business strategy and venture-capital investment operations.

Boxer previously was Anthem’s senior vice president for eBusiness. He will continue to oversee eBusiness strategy, Anthem says.

Boxer has a bachelor’s degree in physics and engineering from the University of Hartford, a master’s degree in business from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in information systems from Drexel University.

Boxer has served on the board of directors for the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange, and he is now on the board of overseers for the University of Connecticut School of Business.
