NU Online News Service, May 27, 2003, 3:45 p.m. EDT – Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., has introduced 12 multi-strategy portfolios.

The portfolios are individually managed accounts that feature investments in more than one asset class or investment style. The investment managers include Eaton Vance Management, ING, Phoenix Investment Partners Ltd., PIMCO Advisors and Portfolio Services Group as well as Prudential’s own money managers.

Prudential puts each account in the stock or balanced category, but the portfolio managers have some freedom to change their investment styles as market conditions change, Prudential says.

Investors can get the accounts through Prudential’s Managed Accounts Consulting Services program. Minimum investments start at $100,000.
