Health Net Hires Chief Actuary

NU Online News Service, May 12, 2003, 11:38 a.m. EDT – Health Net Inc., Los Angeles, has hired Joyce Li to be its chief actuarial officer.

Li previously was a senior vice president and actuary at WellPoint Health Networks. Inc., Thousand Oaks, Calif. She also has worked as an actuary at units of AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands, and MetLife Inc., New York.

Li has a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from the University of Oregon. She is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Washington, and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Schaumburg, Ill.
