Phoenix Publishes Business Planning Strategies

NU Online News Service, May 6, 2003, 4:36 p.m. EDT – The Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford, is publishing a series of BusinessPlan Strategies papers for financial advisors.

The papers describe strategies that advisors can use to help business owners run their businesses and plan for the future.

The first papers in the series focus on valuing closely held businesses, arranging stock-redemption or entity-purchase plans, the benefits of cross-purchase and buy-sell plans, and charitable succession planning.

Future papers will deal with topics such as executive bonus plans and key-person insurance plans, Phoenix says.

Phoenix notes that advisors who encounter complicated planning needs in the real world can get personalized help from the lawyers and product wholesalers on its staff.
