Kenneth D. Statz is a managing director and senior market strategist of Security Capital Research & Management Inc., and is a member of the firm’s portfolio management committee. Prior to joining Security Capital in 1995, Statz was senior REIT analyst for Goldman, Sachs & Co. Previously, Statz was REIT portfolio manager and a managing director of Chancellor Capital Management. Statz received his MBA and BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.

Bernhard Krieg, CFA, is a VP of Security Capital Research & Management Inc. where he is responsible for the coverage of the U.S. office and hotel sectors as well as for research on European real estate securities. Krieg is originally from Germany and joined Security Capital in 1998. He received his MA from Texas A & M in Land Economics and Real Estate, and his BS from the University of Dresden in Germany. In addition to German and English, Krieg is also fluent in French.
