NU Online News Service, April 24, 2003, 1:05 p.m. EDT – The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Simsbury, Conn., has hired Michael Kalen to be senior vice president and director of individual life distribution for its Hartford Life Insurance Company subsidiary.
The move is part of what the company says is an effort to increase sales of individual life insurance through multiple distribution channels.
Kalen, who has spent more than 20 years at Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J., will now oversee marketing, the advanced life insurance sales unit, and more than 200 account executives and wholesalers.
Kalen reports to Robert Kerzner, executive vice president of the individual life division of Hartford Life.
