NU Online News Service, April 15, 2003, 1:05 p.m. EDT – The securities unit of Wachovia Corp., Charlotte, N.C., is now distributing the American Legacy III variable annuity to its broker-dealers through the VARDS Trading system.

VARDS Trading is an electronic annuity order-entry system developed by another Wachovia subsidiary, Info-One, Campbell, Calif.

The American Legacy III annuity comes from Lincoln Financial Corp., Philadelphia.

Info-One says its VARDS Trading system will ease annuity sales by helping Lincoln Financial and other annuity issuers connect with broker-dealers, banks and affiliated insurance agencies through automated systems.
