American Medical Hires CFO

NU Online News Service, April 14, 2003, 10:36 a.m. EDT – American Medical Security Group Inc., Green Bay, Wis., has hired John Lombardi to be executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Lombardi succeeds Gary Guengerich, who retired as CFO of American Medical in July 2002.

Lombardi previously was executive director of Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough L.L.P., Atlanta, a law firm with 275 attorneys.

Lombardi has also worked as a regional chief financial officer and region controller for Aetna Inc., Hartford, American Medical says.

Lombardi has a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree in business from the University of Michigan, and he holds the Certified Public Accountant professional designation.

American Medical is a health insurance company that focuses on the individual, family and small-group markets.
