NU Online News Service, April 10, 2003, 11:15 a.m. EDT – The consulting arm of Clark/Bardes Inc., Barrington, Ill., has published a report on the effects of corporate governance initiatives on executive compensation and benefits during the first quarter.

The report also discusses trends in board compensation and the future of executive compensation and stock options.

The author is Jack Dolmat-Connell, a senior vice president at the company’s human capital practice. He estimates that fewer than 20% of large U.S. companies have responded to the new corporate governance environment by changing their compensation practices.
