McCarty Now Top Fla. Insurance Regulator

NU Online News Service, March 26, 2003, 1:25 p.m. EST – The Florida Financial Services Commission has confirmed Kevin McCarty as director of the state Office of Insurance Regulation.

McCarty, who is the first person to serve in the new post, is a past Florida deputy insurance commissioner. He has more than 10 years of experience in insurance regulation.

Florida lawmakers created the insurance regulation office in 2002, when they restructured the state’s financial services regulatory apparatus.
