NU Online News Service, March 10, 2003, 10:45 a.m. EST – Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, is introducing two new 30-second national television commercials this week.

The spots, part of a year-old campaign from Arnold Worldwide Inc., Boston, use vignettes from everyday life to promote Hartford’s life insurance and investment products.

One spot, about asset protection, features a daughter playing near her mother, who is putting on jewelry for a big night out. The other spot, which deals with retirement planning, shows three men of different ages playing baseball.

Both spots end with a final image that tells viewers that “The Hartford is Always Thinking Ahead.”

The commercials will appear on national cable television networks and on commercials during golf tournaments, Hartford says.

Hartford will also run companion print advertisements in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly and The Wall Street Journal.
