NU Online News Service, Feb. 27, 10:31 a.m. – Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., says it has agreed to take over development, maintenance and sales for two major underwriting systems, Magnum and LUS, from Swiss Re Life & Health America Inc., Stamford, Conn.

CSC plans to incorporate the capabilities of Magnum and LUS into its own nbAccelerator life insurance new-business system, the company says.

Swiss Re Life will continue to update the risk-assessment and underwriting information at the heart of the Magnum and LUS underwriting systems, CSC says.

Swiss Re Life is a unit of Swiss Reinsurance Company, Zurich.

CSC has also signed a separate agreement to supply technology for the underwriting systems at e-Nable Corp., a unit of MIB Group Inc., Westwood, Mass.

“CSC’s nbAccelerator will be the technology framework for e-Nable’s life insurance services,” CSC says.
