SunGard Announces Web-Based Illustration System

NU Online News Service, Jan. 28, 11:26 a.m. – SunGard Data Systems Inc., Miami, has introduced an “application service provider” version of its SunGard VIP Illustration System.

The ASP version of the system runs on SunGard’s computers. Insurance agents can use the ASP version through the Web to create illustrations of the likely performance of life insurance policies, annuities, long-term care insurance policies and disability insurance policies.

Customers can also buy another version of the system that will run on their own computers, but using the version that runs on SunGard’s computers can reduce software maintenance costs, SunGard says.
