NU Online News Service, Jan. 22, 12:20 p.m. – Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., says it is now selling HumanaOne individual health insurance in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin.
Humana will sell the coverage in other markets later this year, the company says.
Humana has built the program around its ChoiceCare preferred-provider network and set up an “expedited underwriting” process that enables it to give consumers price quotes over the telephone.
Humana has promised to guarantee rates for one full year after purchase, as along as customers maintain the same benefits and reside within the same geographic area.
