NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 9:12 a.m. – Only three life and health insurers failed in 2002, down from six in 2001, according to Weiss Ratings Inc., Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

The number of failures of health maintenance organizations fell to nine, from 10.
