Sun Life Merges N.Y. Subs

NU Online News Service, Jan. 2, 3:29 p.m. – The U.S. arm of Sun Life Financial Services of Canada Inc., Toronto, has merged two subsidiaries in New York state, Sun Life Insurance and Annuity Company of New York and Keyport Benefit Life Insurance Company.

The merged company will be called Sun Life Insurance and Annuity Company of New York, Sun Life says.
