NU Online News Service, Jan. 2, 5:23 p.m. – AMERIGROUP Corp., Virginia Beach, Va., says its stock will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange Friday under the symbol AGP.
AMERIGROUP is a company that runs managed care programs for the poor. Its stock has been trading on Nasdaq.
The company also announced that it has completed a previously announced acquisition of Physicians Healthcare Plans Inc., Coral Gables, Fla., a managed care company that serves 190,000 Florida residents who participate in the Medicaid and Florida Healthy Kids programs.
