NU Online News Service, Dec. 23, 2:53 p.m. – Oxford Health Plans Inc., Trumbull, Conn., says U.S. District Judge Federico Moreno has declined to add it as a defendant to the “provider track” managed care litigation now being handled by the U.S. District Court in Miami.

The court is handling a large number of federal cases filed on behalf of doctors who say managed care companies have used similar tactics to slash and delay payments.

The court is also handling a separate bundle of cases filed on behalf of patients.
