NU Online News Service, Dec. 6, 5:25 p.m. – WellPoint Health Networks Inc., Thousand Oaks, Calif., says it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Golden West Dental & Vision, Camarillo, Calif., a privately held dental and vision company that was founded in 1975 and has about 293,000 members. Most of the members belong to dental health maintenance organizations.
