Graf To Head AIG International Retirement Unit

NU Online News Service, Nov. 6, 2002, 3:55 p.m. – American International Group, Inc. in New York says it has formed a new international retirement savings unit that will take advantage of AIG’s leading position in U.S. retirement savings and its brand recognition,.

John A. Graf, AIG executive vice president for retirement savings, will head the new unit.

AIG says its life insurance operations in overseas markets will establish local retirement savings businesses whose managers will report jointly to Graf and local life insurance executives.

AIG says its foreign life network covers more than 70 countries.

Graf, will continue to be located in New York and retain his title as vice chairman and a member of the board of directors of AIG SunAmerica Inc.
