CIGNA Offers Online Drug Comparisons

NU Online News Service, Oct. 22, 9:45 a.m. – CIGNA Healthcare, a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, has introduced an online service to help its 14 million members comparison shop for prescription drugs over the Internet.

The new interactive service, PharmaAdvisor, will let consumers make side-by-side comparisons of costs, alternatives and side effects among prescription drugs. The service can help patients have informed discussions with their doctors about their medication options, the company says.

PharmaAdvisor is part of myCIGNA.com, a Web portal that provides health care and retirement benefits information to CIGNA members.
