OneWorld Gets New Chief Strategist

BOSTON (HedgeWorld.com)–John Janasiewicz was appointed chief strategist at OneWorld Investments LP, an adviser specializing in investments in U.S. dollar government bonds issued by countries in Asia, Eastern Europe, Mexico, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

Mr. Janasiewicz was most recently with Deutsche Asset Management. He managed US$1 billion in assets in emerging market fixed-income portfolios. He was also chief global strategist for emerging market debt. In this new position, Mr. Janasiewicz will focus on country allocations and will look for opportunities in emerging markets debt.

In a statement, Ignacio Sosa, co-founder and principal, said that the new role is part of the firm’s ongoing process of growing its research and investment capabilities.

The Boston-based five-person team manages US$295 million in emerging market debt strategies. SEI Investments, Oaks, Pa., is the administrator for the fund.
