NU Online News Service, Oct. 4, 12:35 p.m. – Ibbotson Associates, Chicago, has responded to the new interest in fixed annuities by adding fixed-annuity performance data from Beacon Research Publications Inc., Evanston, Ill., to its investment analysis software.
The data added will include The Beacon Fixed Annuity Index: Average Benchmark Series, Ibbotson says.
The new benchmarks will help banks and insurers prepare sales materials that compare the performance of their products to the fixed-annuity benchmarks.
The annuity figures will also help planners include fixed annuities as an asset class in model portfolios, Ibbotson says.
