Illinois Employer Group Endorses Lumenos

NU Online News Service, Oct. 3, 11:15 a.m. – The Heartland Healthcare Coalition, Morton, Ill., a nonprofit business group, has designated Lumenos Inc., Alexandria, Va., as a preferred provider of defined-contribution health coverage programs.

The Lumenos program offers employers with self-funded health plans a combination of high-deductible health insurance for catastrophic medical expenses and employer-funded, employee-directed “health savings accounts” that employees can use to pay for routine medical care.
