Hartford Financial Adds Travel Assistance Program

NU Online News Service, Sept. 25, 11:04 a.m. – Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford, is working with Worldwide Assistance Services Inc., Washington, to make a free travel assistance program available to its group life and group disability insurance customers.

The program will provide emergency medical assistance, emergency personal services and pre-trip information for participating employees and dependents who are traveling 100 miles or more from home.

Emergency medical assistance will include services ranging from medical referrals to the replacement of medication and eyeglasses.

Emergency personal services will include sending and receiving urgent messages, making emergency travel arrangements, advancing emergency cash, locating lost or stolen items, obtaining legal assistance or bail, and providing interpretation services.

The pre-trip information service will inform employees who are traveling overseas about visas, passports, inoculation and immunization requirements, and foreign exchange rates.
