NU Online News Service, Sept. 19, 3:35 p.m. – Bankers Investments L.L.C., Richmond, Va., has hired James Eads to be its managing director.
The Virginia Bankers Association, Richmond, established Bankers Investments earlier this year to help member banks that want to enter the brokerage business.
Eads has led the brokerage units of several financial institutions, including Riggs Bank, Washington, and First Market Bank, Richmond. He is also a member of the board of the Bank Securities Association, Wayne, Pa.
Bankers Investments hopes to be fully operational by early 2003, the VBA says.
