Western Financial Acquires Two Canadian Agencies

NU Online News Service, Sept. 13, 11:56 a.m. – Western Financial Group Inc., Calgary, Alberta, has acquired two insurance agencies in Western Canada.

The agencies are Stark’s Agency Ltd., Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, and Torch River Agencies, White Fox, Saskatchewan.

Joe Stark founded Stark’s in 1969. Stark will continue to work for Western Financial now that it has acquired the agency, Western Financial says.

Western Financial plans to make the Torch River agency a branch office of another subsidiary, the Fiddler Agencies, Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

Western Financial Group sells insurance, investment and agent banking services in 40 communities in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
