NU Online News Service, Sept. 6, 2:12 p.m. – Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., has lost a key executive to UnitedHealth Group, Green Bay, Wis.

Kenneth Fasola resigned effective Sept. 4 as senior vice president and chief operating officer for markets at Humana, says Dick Brown, corporate director, Media Relations.

Fasola was one of two chief operating officers, the other being head of service operations.

He joined Humana in 1995 after the company bought Employers’ Health Insurance.

“We didn’t ask him to leave, he’s been an exemplary employee and an integral part of Humana’s turnaround success and he will be missed,” Brown says.
