NU Online News Service, Sept. 3, 10:35 a.m. – Milliman USA, Seattle, has changed the brand name of its asset-liability financial analysis software to MG-ALFA, from ALFA.

Life insurers use the software to come up with prices for their products.

Milliman, a large actuarial consulting firm, recently signed an agreement to distribute the financial analysis software and other software and consulting services through Focus Solutions Inc., Boston, a unit of Focus Solutions Group P.L.C., Learnington Spa, United Kingdom.

Milliman says it is changing the name of the ALFA software to make sure that clients understand that Milliman is the company behind the software.
