NU Online News Service, Aug. 29, 2:35 p.m. – Only half of Americans believe professional investment advice will help them reach their retirement dreams, but most Americans who have received professional advice liked it, according to survey results from KRC Research, Washington.

The researchers who conducted the survey, which was sponsored by ING U.S. Financial Services, Atlanta, interviewed 800 employed or retired U.S. residents over the age of 29 in June.

The researchers found that only 52% of the participants thought they needed professional retirement planning services, but that 82% of the participants who had received such services rated the quality of the advice as “good” or “excellent.”
