EBenX Names Two To New Positions

NU Online News Service, Aug. 20, 2:55 p.m. – eBenX, Minneapolis, a group health and welfare benefits administration and consulting operation, has made two new executive appointments.

The company promoted Anita Messal to senior vice president of sales and business development, where she is to be responsible for managing the company’s client acquisition team, including sales, distribution channels and partnerships functions.

Messal most recently served as vice president of client and channel development for the company. Before that, she served as vice president of market development, corporate partnerships and account relations for eBenX. Messal’s background includes 20 years in the insurance industry, working for companies such as BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota.

In addition, Marty Reader has joined eBenX in the newly created role of senior vice president of marketing and client management. Reader will support sales and new business development with product, pricing strategy and marketing program development across the company, eBenX says.

Reader has more than 20 years of business-to-business marketing and general management experience across a range of industries. Most recently, he was chief marketing officer for an enterprise wireless Internet service developer.
