Phoenix Revamps Organizational Chart

NU Online News Service, Aug. 15, 1:38 p.m. – The Phoenix Companies Inc., Hartford, is shaking up its management structure.

Phoenix has promoted Michael Gilotti to a new position, executive vice president for wholesaling distribution and marketing, and put him in charge of all life, annuity and retail investment management wholesaling distribution and marketing operations.

Gilotti previously was the company’s senior vice president in charge of annuity distribution and sales. Mark Tully will take over Gilotti’s old responsibilities in the annuity distribution operation.

Phoenix is also putting all “retail-affiliated” distribution under Joseph Kelleher, a senior vice president. Kelleher will now be responsible for two Phoenix broker/dealer subsidiaries, WS Griffith Advisors Inc. and Main Street Management.

Phoenix is putting its trust operations under Simon Tan, the head of life insurance and annuity manufacturing. The actuarial financial unit will also begin reporting to Tan, Phoenix says.
